  1. THE  INTERNATIONAL  MULTIDISCIPLINARY  CONFERENCE  THE  CARE  TO  CREATE

    ON  THE  24th  OF  JULY  2010

    On the 24th of July 2010 International Multidisciplinary Conference The Care to Create is organized in cooperation with the culture project agency Indie in the framework of the Art Festival Cēsis 2010 with participation of contemporary visual art and academic music professionals from Baltic and Nordic countries, Russia and France.

    The main objective of the conference is to establish and strengthen a network of dynamic contemporary visual arts, music and research organizations as centers of competence.

    The title of the conference is derived from the contemporary art exhibition Take Care that will take place during Art Festival Cēsis 2010. The exhibition concentrates on bringing to light the relationship between an artist and society. Equally, the conference dedicated to contemporary academism focuses on two basic professional culture fields – contemporary visual art and academic music.

    The Art Festival Cēsis 2010 serves as a model to the manifestation of contemporary academism – a contemporary art exhibition of a high professional level takes place parallel to concerts of academic music. The festival represents an “after experiment” content that results in contemporary art and music product. The conference will create a platform for the discussions about contemporary academism issues, the spread and development of its tendencies.
